Memories are made of this....

We were first approached to make a ring box from found woods. We were reluctant to work with such woods because of their inherent risks (nails, stones, foreign objects). But when we met with the client, we learned about the significance of his found woods and his proposal plan. We were hooked!

Each piece of wood had a special place in their relationship and lives. The woods were unusable for making a ring box. But Kathy found a way of incorporating pieces of each wood into the top of the ring box. The resultant design became a metaphor of their growing relationship.

A wonderfully pleasing project!
