This urn is made from Cherry. The centre of the top is Curly Cherry, framed by bands of Curly Cherry and Bubinga.

No stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Interior and exterior are finished with an Osmo microporous wood oil. The resultant low-lustre finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

Overall exterior dimensions are about 11.5" x 8.4" x 4.0" (29.2 x 21.3 x 10.2 cm).

Internal dimensions are about 9.9" x 6.6" x 3.1" (25.2 x 16.8 x 7.8 cm).

Internal capacity is 200 cubic inches (3.3 L).

Access is from bottom which is secured with 6 screws.

Exterior:

The sides are made from a single board with waterfall mitre joints. That allows the natural pattern of the wood grain to flow all the way around the urn. Grain is matched on three corners.

Mitred corners reinforced with Bubinga keys.

Sides are solid 3/4" (19 mm) thick Cherry

Top is made from solid 1/8" (3 mm) thick Curly Cherry and accent woods, laminated to 1/4" (6.4 mm) solid core plywood.
