This urn was made from Black Walnut. The bookmarked Black Walnut top was laser engraved with the comedy (Thalia) and tragedy (Melpomene) masks and with the name and dates of the deceased.

Interior and exterior were finished with an Osmo microporous wood oil. The resultant low-lustre finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

The sides are made from a single board with waterfall mitre joints. That allows the natural pattern of the wood grain to flow all the way around the urn. Grain is matched on three corners.

Mitred corners reinforced with Black Walnut keys.

Sides are solid 3/4" (19 mm) thick Black Walnut

Top is made from bookmarked solid 1/2" (12.7 mm) Black Walnut.
