This urn is made from Bird's Eye Maple. The accents on the top are provided by bands of Bubinga and Curly Maple, separated and defined by black veneer.

Except for black veneer, no stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Interior and exterior are finished with Osmo TopOil, an odourless hardwax-oil wood finish.  The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

Overall exterior dimensions are about 11.0" x 9.0" x 3.8" (28.0 x 22.9 x 9.5 cm).

Internal dimensions are about 9.5" x 7.5" x 3.0" (24.1 x 19.1 x 7.6 cm).

Internal capacity is 200 cubic inches (3.3 L).

Access is from bottom which is secured with 12 screws.

Mitred corners reinforced with Bubinga keys.

Sides are solid 3/4" (19 mm) thick Bird's Eye Maple

Top is made from solid 1/8" (3 mm) thick Bird's Eye Maple with inlaid accent woods, laminated to 1/4" (6.4 mm) solid core plywood.
