This urn is made from Blistered Maple. The accents on the top are provided by bands of Bubinga and Curly Maple, separated and defined by black veneer.

Except for black veneer, no stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Interior and exterior are finished with Osmo TopOil, an odourless hardwax-oil wood finish.  The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

Overall exterior dimensions are about 11.8" x 9.8" x 4.0" (29.9 x 24.8 x 10.2 cm).

Internal dimensions are about 9.5" x 7.5" x 3.0" (24.1 x 19.1 x 7.6 cm).

Internal capacity is 200 cubic inches ( 3.3 L).

Access is from bottom which is secured with 12 screws.

Exterior:

The sides are made from a single board with waterfall mitre joints. That allows the natural pattern of the wood grain to flow all the way around the urn. Grain is matched on three corners.

Mitred corners reinforced with Bubinga keys.

Sides are solid 3/4" (19 mm) thick Blistered Maple

Top is made from solid 1/2" (12.7 mm) bookmarked Blistered Maple with inlaid accent woods.
