The interior of this beautiful jewelry box has ample space for earrings, cuff links, necklaces, bracelets and watches. The one tray has eight padded inserts, each of which can accommodate two rings, earrings, or cuff links.

The dramatic scene in the centre of the top was made by bookmarking a beautifully figured piece of East Indian Rosewood. It is bordered with bands of East Indian Rosewood and Bubinga which are accentuated with black veneer edges.

The drawer sides and dividers in the interior are made from solid Black Walnut.

Notice how the interior of the top is finished as beautifully as the exterior. That takes extra time and material .... but, the result is well worth it.

Except for black veneer, no stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Overall exterior dimensions are about 12.4" x 9" x 5"  (31.4 x 22.9 x 12.7 cm)

The trays are about 7/8" deep (2.2 cm) with these compartments:-
(one)     2.4" x  6.9"   ( 6  x  17.5 cm)
(one)     2.0" x  6.9"   ( 5.1  x  17.5 cm) with 8 padded inserts
(six)       2.4" x  2.2"   ( 6  x  5.6 cm)

The  compartments below the trays are about 1" (2.5 cm) deep. Inside dimensions of the compartments are about:-
(one)       5.1" x 6.9"   (13 x  17.5 cm)
(six)        2.4" x  2.2"   ( 6  x  5.5 cm)

The drawer is about 1.2" (3 cm) deep.
The inside dimensions of the compartments are about:-
(one)       4.8"  x   6.8"  ( 12.1   x 17.2 cm)
(six)        2.4"  x   2.1"   ( 6 x 5.3 cm)

Interior and exterior are finished with Danish Oil, a penetrating resin. Exterior is further finished with a three-stage wax process, the final stage being carnauba.  The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.
