This watch box was designed to house and display a vintage watch.

The box was made from Ziricote, a very rare and expensive wood native to Southern Mexico and parts of Central America. The patterns and marking on Ziricote have been compared to many natural and abstract designs such as landscapes, spiderwebs, grain patterns, marbled swirls, cloud bursts, mountains, valleys, and other captivating patterns. Certainly, a suitable wood for such a cherished timepiece.

Top is ultra-clear, non-reflecting glass.
Interior bottom is lined with velvet woven fabric. Same fabric for watch pillow.

Hardware:
Hinges -  two brass barrel hinges
Latch   -  four 1/8" rare earth magnets

Finish:
Interior and exterior are finished with an Osmo micro-porous wood oil. The resultant low-lustre finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.
