This box was made for travelling! The push button catch secures the lid, and a full size padded cushion keeps things in their place during transit. Individual double drawstring velvet bags further protect the watches.

The frame is made from Dark Roasted Curly Maple. The top is a spectacular piece of Maple burl, with the natural crevices filled in with gold epoxy.

The trays and dividers in the interior are made from solid Black Walnut.

No stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Overall exterior dimensions are about 11.3" x 9.0" x 3.5"  (28.6 x 22.9 x 8.9 cm)

Finish:

Interior and exterior are finished with Danish Oil, a penetrating resin. Exterior is further finished with a three-stage wax process, the final stage being carnauba.  The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

Interior:

Four watch compartments with pillows.
The removable tray has nine padded inserts for rings and cuff links and an open space for miscellany.
The area below the tray has six equal sized compartments.

Solid brass quadrant hinges.

Tray sides and dividers are solid Black Walnut.

Interior is lined with black velveteen. 
Watch pillows and security pad are covered in the same material.
Watch bags are black velvet.
