The interior of this beautiful jewelry box will hold three watches. The eight padded inserts will accomodate a collection of rings and cufflinks. Watch bands, necklaces and bracelets can be stored in and under the removable trays.

The Black Walnut in this watch box has a beautiful grain pattern and deep, rich colours. The heavily figured top has dramatic whorls and rays that give it three-dimensional celestial efffect. Brown-tinted epoxy was used to fill and seal gaps and bark in the top.

The trays and dividers in the interior are made from solid Black Walnut.

Except for tinted epoxy, no stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Dimensions:

Overall exterior dimensions are about 12" x 8.4" x 3.5"  (30.5 x 21.3 x 8.9 cm)

Three 2.3" (5.7 cm) deep watch compartments, each about 3.8" x 2.3" (9.5 x 5.7 cm)

The removable trays are about 0.9" (2.2 cm) deep. One tray has eight 2.5" (6.4 cm) wide padded inserts for rings and cufflinks. The other tray has two compartments, each about 6.9" by 1.4" (17.5 x 3.5 cm).

The  compartments below the trays are about 1" (2.5 cm) deep. Inside dimensions of the compartments are about:-

Finish:

Interior and exterior are finished with Danish Oil, a penetrating resin. Exterior is further finished with a three-stage wax process, the final stage being carnuba.  The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

Exterior:

	Black Walnut handle. Mitred corners reinforced with keys of Nogal Sides are solid 1/2" (13  mm) thick Black Walnut
Top is made from solid woods into an assembly about 1/2" (13 mm) thick. It is then re-sawn into two pieces about 1/8" (3mm) thick which are laminated to both sides of 1/4" (6 mm) plywood. This construction not only makes the interior of the top as attractive as the exterior, but also prevents warping of the top.

 

Interior:

Solid brass quadrant hinges.

Tray sides and dividers are solid Black Walnut.

Interior is lined with a luxurious black faux-velvet. 
Watch pillows are covered in the same material.
