The interior of this striking valet box is designed to accommodate loose change, wallet, PDA, cell phone, glasses, cufflinks and the like.

The Lacewood pieces selected for this box have a striking grain pattern. Large rays flow around all four sides. The top showcases two different Lacewoods, a darker one with a small lacelike pattern and a lighter centre piece with larger rays. Indian Rosewood delineates the two. Altogether, an stunning composition.

The tray sides and dividers in the interior are made from solid Cherry wood.

Notice how the interior of the top is finished as beautifully as the exterior. That takes extra time and material. But, the result is well worth it.

No stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the woods, enhanced by the oil and wax.

SPECIFICATIONS

Dimensions:

Overall exterior dimensions are about 12" x 9" x 3.5"

The compartments in the lower level are about 1" deep.

The removable tray is about 1" deep.

Finish:

Interior and exterior are finished with Danish Oil, a penetrating resin. Exterior is further finished with a three-stage wax process, the final stage being carnuba. The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

Mitred corners reinforced with Indian Rosewood keys

Sides are solid 1/2" thick Lacewood.

Top is made of two types of 1/8" Lacewood, delineated with Indian Rosewood, and laminated to both sides of 1/8" 3-ply plywood. This construction not only makes the interior of the top as attractive as the exterior, but also prevents warping of the top.

Interior:

Solid brass quadrant hinges.

Tray sides and dividers are solid Cherry.

Interior is lined with a luxurious faux suede.
