This is a one of a kind box made for display and sale of CDs by a musician at his gigs.

It was made from Black Ash. The dazzling top was made from an array of exotic woods.

The interior has three compartments. Two accommodate a stack of 10 CDs each. The centre compartment is the cash box.

The lid showcases two of the artist's CDs and three stacks of business cards.

The dividers and runners in the interior are made from solid Black Ash. 

SPECIFICATIONS

Dimensions:

Exterior is about 15.5" x 7.5" x 5.5"  

Finish:

Interior and exterior are finished with Danish Oil, a penetrating resin. Exterior is further finished with a clear coat of polyurethane.

Accent wood:

Top: Redheart, purpleheart, black walnut, lacewood, eucalyptus, curly maple, white oak, cherry, padauk

Interior: redheart

Exterior:

Sides are solid 1/2" thick Black Ash. 

Top is made of varying size strips 1/8" various exotic woods, laminated to 1/4"  birch plywood. 

Solid brass locking clasps secure the top

Interior:

Solid brass butt hinges.

Solid brass chain stays.

Dividers and runners are solid black ash.
